I have three sets of carpeted stairs in my house, and it's so wonderful to whip this light-weight machine out and take care of all three sets of stairs in mere minutes. No power cords, no maneuvering a heavy machine - it's quick and efficient. I was concerned about the battery cutting out after 6/10 minutes, but so far it hasn't been an issue. If anything, it makes me more efficient! No dilly-dallying allowed, I get right to what needs to be vacuumed and find I'm finished long before the battery discharges. This Dyson is expensive, but if you have a pet who sheds like crazy - you'll be very happy to have invested in this machine. Can't wait to try it out in my vehicle.
