(More customer reviews)I like almost everything about this vacuum. It works well on carpet, seems to be built well, and has a smallish powerhead (12"), which works well in tights spots.
The one glaring omission: A standard "floor nozzle." You can turn off the brush on the powerhead, but it doesn't work well for the tight spots, edges, etc., like a floor nozzle would. Normally this would be no big deal--I'd just use a floor nozzle from another vacuum. But other tools don't fit the Sanyo's nonstandard attachment size. And according to Sanyo's customer service, they do not make a floor nozzle to fit this unit.

Two stainless steel wands with hidden power cord connect the powerhead to the wire reinforced stretch hose with handle. A variable power control on the handle allows you to adjust the suction power. The 12 amp canister motor has an easy to empty dust container and large power and cord reel buttons for hand or foot use. On board tools include crevice tool, round brush, and upholstery brush. An 18 ft. cord with push button rewind completes this impressive package.
